The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada
Since 1984, the Children’s Wish Foundation has been granting wishes to children throughout Canada who have been diagnosed with life-threatening conditions. The foundation has a chapter in every Canadian province and territory, and has grown from granting less than 20 wishes a year when it first began to granting over 23,000 wishes to date. Wishes range from meeting celebrities and sports heroes to traveling to special destinations.
While a child’s health needs are looked after by their medical team, having their wishes fulfilled by the Children’s Wish Foundation can help bring them, their families, and their communities some much needed relief and joy. It offers a welcome and needed break from hospital visits and from the pains and worries of everyday life.
