A. Clark Roofing & Siding LP.: Proud Contributors to the Alberta Wellsprings Building

A. Clark Roofing & Siding LP. is proud to be part of the upcoming Alberta Wellsprings building. The Wellsprings Building is being built on the intersection of 113 Street and 65 Avenue, north of the School for the deaf and the campus of the Neil Crawford Centre.

What is Alberta Wellsprings?

The wellness center will support anyone diagnosed with any kind of cancer.  This support extends to the affected person’s family, friends and caregivers who are going through this life changing ordeal with them.  It is a non-profit organization, that was founded by Anne Armstrong Gibson, who was a cancer patient.  She envisioned a network of community-based centers that help people cope with cancer.  Wellsprings Edmonton will be part of this.  There are already seven Wellspring centres in Calgary and Ontario, others are planned elsewhere in Canada.  Edmonton’s Wellsprings center will be self-supporting, community driven center with great programs and resources. These will be facilitated by volunteers and professionals.

The need has never been greater as there are currently more than one hundred thousand Albertans living with cancer and more than ten thousand will be diagnosed this year.  This number will more than double in the upcoming decades.  And while we have great medical care for people who have cancer, what about their non-medical needs.  How do their family, caregivers and friends cope?  Wellsprings will be there to provide this missing piece of the puzzle.

A. Clark Roofing & Siding LP. has been involved with the Wellsprings project since Qualico approached them in 2013.  We will be providing the labor for the metal roofing that will be installed shortly in early May 2015.

We recognize that almost everyone has a story that is linked in some way with cancer.  Edmonton needs this facility and it needs it now.

Please visit the web site and see how you can become involved and better yet to donate!
